Recovering routes, increasing frequencies and resuming services to the traveller, putting the focus on the recovery of Business Travel. These are the objectives of Iberia's recently announced winter programme. As a result, the Iberia group (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum) offers flights to more than 75 destinations in 30 countries in Europe, America and Africa. This means a return to around 70% of the airports to which the Spanish airline regularly travels during a normal winter season.
By December, the group will be offering around 700 direct weekly flights (around 1,400 return flights) between its hub (Madrid) and the various destinations in its network. This represents around 40% of the capacity in December 2019. In addition, Iberia Regional Air Nostrum and Iberia Express will be operating cross flights (inter-island, mainland and to the islands).
Reviving business travel
With the revival of business travel in mind, the Spanish group has built up a winter flight schedule that facilitates, for example, daytime return trips between major destinations within Spain and Europe. In fact, 80% of the domestic routes offer two or more daily flights in each direction, reaching several daily frequencies on the most dense routes. This is the case of the recovery of the Air Bridge, where the offer has doubled since 16 November, reaching seven daily flights in each direction, in addition to the return of dedicated spaces. In Europe, daily multi-frequency reaches 32 per cent of destinations.
Iberia is also strengthening its connections with America. Flights to Sao Paulo were resumed at the end of October. In December it will connect to Rio de Janeiro as well as Caracas, when the country's opening is confirmed. Flights to Medellin and Cali will be added over the Christmas period. The company will be offering regular or special flights to all the countries in its network, a total of 20 destinations in 16 countries, including the USA.

On-board service with safety
The Spanish airline has decided to recover on-board services, including fresh and hot products. Thus, Iberia is now offering a new on-board service in the business cabin of all its short and medium-range flights and flights to the United States, and in the tourist cabin on long-range flights to the United States. It will soon be incorporated in Latin America, as well as a proposal adapted for the short and medium radio tourist cabin. In the case of Iberia Express, it is also offering a new on-board service in the business cabin, while in the tourist cabin, on flights of more than 50 minutes, it has designed a reduced on-board sales service with the aim of covering customers' basic needs as well as improving their flight experience.
On the ground, Iberia has once again opened the Dalí Premium Room in T4 Barajas, where it provides service to its Business, Iberia Plus Oro, Platino and Infinita customers on all its short, medium and long haul flights. Rigorous protocols have been implemented in this room to guarantee the safety of customers, from different access and exit flows, reinforced cleaning and disinfection measures, hydroalcoholic gel dispensers in the different spaces, an adapted gastronomic offer, including hot meals and reduction of the number of seats, among other measures.
