The hotel tops the Lanzarote hotel ranking in the world’s leading user opinion website.

At the end of October, the Princess Yaiza Hotel reached the 1,000 comment mark in TripAdvisor, the leader in accommodation assessment based on the opinions of travellers.

Since opening, the Princesa Yaiza has received 955 comments posted by travellers classifying their experience at the hotel as excellent or very good. Thanks to this, the hotel currently tops the ranking in Playa Blanca, where it is located, and also on Lanzarote, which has 428 properties with listings in TripAdvisor.

Of the 1,000 comments posted to date, only 45 guests have indicated that their experience was not totally satisfactory or did not meet their expectations. Comments of this kind, which are monitored and assessed on a daily basis by the hotel’s managerial staff and then followed up, have permitted the hotel to consistently improve its facilities and amenities over the years, such as the improvements made in guest rooms, the installation of a Wi-Fi network, or improving accessibility for guests with mobility problems, while always maintaining the excellence of the service that has characterized the property since it was opened.

Gourmet November at the Princesa Yaiza Hotel

This November, the Princesa Yaiza Hotel is organizing a series of culinary events at Isla de Lobos, the property’s gourmet restaurant, with the aim of promoting the island as a food and wine tourism destination.

The pièce de resistance of the culinary event organized by the island’s government and its food and wine brand Saborea Lanzarote, will be the local suckling pig, in addition to other local products such as La Santa prawns, "black potato foam", and ice plant honey.

On 21 November, the hotel will be hosting the renowned Spanish chef Rafael Morales, executive chef of El Bulli since 1995, who worked with the maestro Ferran Adria during 14 years and currently works as a gastronomic consultant and chef in Valencia. In collaboration with the hotel’s kitchen staff, he will prepare a tasting menu keyed to transmitting his culinary knowledge to the staff and clients of the Isla de Lobos restaurant.

And on 28 November, the maestro chocolatier and world pastry chef champion in 2001, Michel Willaume, representing the chocolate makers Valrhona, will prepare a tasting menu with the property’s kitchen team in which the star ingredient will be chocolate, combined with savoury flavours such as Lanzarote shellfish and meat.

These three gourmet fixtures will be supervised by Carlos Perez Redondo, executive chef of the Princesa Yaiza, and Francisco Puerto, director of food and beverages at the hotel, who has also skilfully chosen the local, national or international wines accompanying each dish.
