The challenge of providing one of the largest catering services in Andalusia.
Since opening in November, the Nevada Shopping Centre in Armilla – one of the largest in Spain – is Granada’s newest attraction
General de Galerías Comerciales, the firm managing the shopping centre, asked Abades Catering to handle the catering service for the centre’s official opening.
The amount staff employed by Abades Catering to provide the service gives some idea of the event’s complexity: over 350 waiters, 100 cooks, six head chefs, one executive chef, 20 maîtres, 30 master slicers, 20 cleaners, and two area supervisors, all under the supervision of a managing director. As to the menu, there were 25 cold dishes, 10 hot dishes, and six desserts.
Abades used its in-house interior design team to theme the different areas of venue, in addition to the VIP area. At this event, there was special emphasis on the lighting, in order to adapt it to the different areas.
It is also important to bear in mind the assembly and dismantling of the service. To this end, Abades provided qualified technical staff and a large number of vehicles, one of whose number was always on hand to handle contingencies.
