The Dutch authorities have announced the extension of the quarantine to ten new European areas, including Madrid, Ibiza, Mallorca, Almeria, Burgos, Navarra and Salamanca, in the case of Spain, from midnight tonight, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition, the country's authorities have issued a travel alert warning against "unnecessary travel" to the aforementioned cities, which also include Paris, Marseille and Brussels.

These cities join other previous cities under "orange alert", the condition imposed by this measure, such as Barcelona and Zaragoza, in the case of Spain.

The health authorities argue this recommendation in the recent upsurges of cases of coronavirus in these countries, according to information from the Ministry, collected by the Dutch radio and television network NOS.
