The technology company MitisWorld, established in 2016 and headquartered in Girona, has joined the Association of Spanish Fairs, as reported by the organization in a statement.
The AFE's Board of Directors adopted the decision last week after analyzing the application and information provided by the association's new collaborating member. "We must emphasize that new technologies have proved to be a relevant element of support for the trade fair sector and will continue to be so in the future," they said.
MitisWorld is a technology company owned by the Iberland group, with offices in Girona and Barcelona, which works with virtual reality tools, 360 degrees, 3D and Big Data, and one of its main objectives is to provide solutions for improvement, innovation and optimization to the exhibition sector and MICE, to meet the needs of organizers, exhibitors and visitors.
This, through rewa elements to generate new opportunities: digitizing trade fairs, creating virtual fairs and integrating hybrid events. In fact, in recent years the company has collaborated in the launch of the virtual version of different fairs, such as eDelivery, Barcelona Meeting Point, SilBarcelona or Mediterranean Diving.
A total of 27 partners
This new partner joins the list of companies linked to the trade fair activity as suppliers and collaborators that are already members of the AFE, such as MARVA Group, M&P Stands, Montoro OR, Publiservic Canarias and Servis Group, which, added to the 21 organising entities, now total 27 partners.
"We warmly welcome MitisWorld as a collaborating partner, fully confident that its contribution will be valuable for all AFE members and also for this young technology company on a reciprocal basis. The incorporation of new partners contributes to the strengthening of our entity while increasing the representation on the national scene," said the President of the AFE, Xabier Basañez.
With MitisWorld, AFE currently has 27 members. The association's members represent 90% of the sector's activity in Spain, which, in terms of direct, indirect and induced economic impact, represents 13,000 million euros per year, a contribution of 6,500 million euros to the GDP and the generation of more than 123,000 direct and indirect jobs. Spain is one of the main countries in Europe in terms of trade fairs, together with Germany, Italy, France and the United Kingdom.
