The German car firm BMW chose the city of Bilbao for the worldwide media presentation of its new BMW X4 and BMW 4 Series Grand Coupe. Eventisimo was the agency commissioned to handle the coordination of the event, which took place from 19-31 May.
The presentation was attended by 400 specialized media representatives from all over the world. The programme for each one of the groups lasted two days in three main locations: Bilbao Airport, the Silken Gran Domine Bilbao Hotel, and the Marques de Riscal Winery.
On arriving at the airport of Bilbao, each group was taken to a lounge specially prepared for the event, where the participants were offered lunch and given their press passes, without having to leave the transit area. Outside the terminal, their BMWs were waiting for them: an X4 or a Grand Coupe.
After test driving the cars on different roads in the province of Vizcaya, they stopped off at the Silken Gran Domine Bilbao Hotel, the event’s headquarters, were they attended the event’s main press conference and were treated to a tasting dinner featuring the very best of Basque cuisine.
On the second day, the participants drove to the Marques de Riscal Winery and Hotel, located in La Rioja of Alava, this time swapping cars so as to be able to test drive the other model. After lunch at the hotel’s restaurant, they drove directly to the airport of Bilbao to catch their return flights.
