Jointly organized by the Seville Tradeshow and Congress Centre (FIBES) and the Union of Fighting Bull Breeders, the World Bull Fair will finally be held in Seville from 19-22 February 2009.
FIBES has announced that, after the uncertainty about the World Bull Fair’s possible cancelation, the organizers have finally obtained the necessary support from the regional Departments of Agriculture and Fishing, and Tourism, Commerce and Sports, and Seville City Council.
Nevertheless, the congress centre has also indicated that it is waiting for an answer from the regional Departments of the Environment and the Interior, as well as the possible sponsorship by a financial concern and an insurance company.
A total of 1.2 million euros was invested in the organization and staging of the 10th edition of the World Bull Fair, which generated a turnover of more than 13 million euros in Seville, having a direct impact on segments such as taxis, public transport, hotels, commerce, and restaurants. The 2009 edition of the fair will have a budget of approximately one million euros.
