Which is the Paper of Your Choice?

The collective exhibition entitled "Which is the Paper of Your Choice?" shows the possibilities that paper offers as a medium for contemporary artistic creation.



On 8 November, the collective exhibition "Which is the Paper of Your Choice?" – focusing on paper as a medium – was opened at Setbe Zona d'Art. The exhibition features collages by the Menorcan Març Rabal, and lithographs, drawings and embossing by Esther Pi, among others.



With a total of 20 artists, 36 works of art, close on 15 artistic techniques and more than eight different nationalities, most of the exhibiting artists are Catalonian: Esther Pi, as already mentioned; Anna Berenguer, presenting a series of etchings; Rosa Brugat, with a work on photography; Rosa Brugulat, also with an etching; Pep Camps, participating in the exhibition with one of the works of his Lapso series on Alzheimer's; Marta Darder, with a photographic work; Maria Pujol, exhibiting two chine-collé prints; Nuria Rossell, with a series of digital impressions celebrating the International Year of Forests; and Josep Serra, exhibiting two acrylics on cardboard.



Artists from other parts of Spain and abroad are also participating in the exhibition, including the Frenchwomen Isis Olivier, with a drawing made on a map; Mercedes Ruano from Madrid, with two works, and Isabel de Sierra, born in Santander, with a series of India ink collages; the Australian Danielle Creenaune, with an aquatint and drypoint print; the Argentinean artist Silvia Japkin, with the piece "Babel"; the Italian Liviana Leone, participating with a lithograph; the Mexican Mayra Lagunes, exhibiting a series of paintings on cardboard; the Brazilian Alex Romano, presenting two works based on photographs; and lastly the abstract expressionism of the Azerbaijani Rasim Michaeli, and lithographs printed on Japanese paper by the Okayama artist Toshiro Yamaguchi.



The exhibition will be open until 30 December at Setba Zona d'Art.
