On 30 June 2010, the ceremony of the Provincial Tourism Board’s annual awards was held at the provincial government's headquarters. The award winners were the magazine Viajes National Geographic, the Villa Oniria Hotel and its restaurant La Fabula, and Cetursa Sierra Nevada. Likewise, a special mention was given to the Alhambra Palace Hotel, which this year celebrates its 100th anniversary.

The Villa Oniria Hotel and its restaurant La Fabula have received a Granada Tourism award for promoting the creation of a unique, novel, attractive and successful tourism product in the province of Granada. Located in the centre of Granada, this four-star property has become a yardstick for quality city hotels since being opened in 2007.

With 31 guest rooms, each one designed by the prestigious interior decorator Pascua Ortega, the Villa Oniria Hotel also features the restaurant La Fabula. Chef Alvaro Arriaga and sommelier Daniel Castro offer one of the province’s most innovating gourmet experiences, with modern, imaginative cuisine based on exceptionally high quality produce, most of which is local, and precise technique.
