Ultramar Event Management is currently signing strategic agreements with destinations that have traditionally specialized in the holidaymaker market, with the aim of promoting their meetings and events industry services.
Ultramar Event Management, TUI Travel PLC’s specialist MICE division for corporate clients, associations and institutions, has recently become a member of Lloret Convention Bureau with the aim of promoting the town as a meetings and event destination.
“Ultramar Event Management’s long track record and international experience in the field will go a long way to promoting and consolidating the Lloret Convention Bureau,” said Francesc Oliva, counsellor for economic development and committee member of the Lloret Convention Bureau.
Ultramar Event Management and Lloret Convention first joint action will be the organization of the 1st Nordic Walking International Congress, scheduled to be held in Lloret de Mar from 21-23 October 2010.
The main objective of Lloret Convention Bureau, which will shortly be celebrating its 1st anniversary, is to promote Lloret de Mar as one of the Costa Brava’s leading MICE destinations. The bureau currently has 40 members, including congress centres, hotels, restaurants, specialized service providers, unique venues and other agencies related to culture, entertainment and leisure activities, among others.
