Ultramar Event Management, TUI Travel PLC's Spanish MICE division, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Lloret Convention Bureau with the aim of promoting the town as a business tourism destination.
Franck Barbaras, CEO of Ultramar Event Management, and Xavier Crespo i Llobet, mayor of Lloret del Mar and president of the Lloret Convention Bureau, have signed an agreement with the aim of making the most of synergies and positioning the town in the MICE market.

The idea behind this agreement is to satisfy the needs of MICE industry clients that, given the economic situation, are looking for closer destinations that offer both professionalism and quality. Lloret del Mar fulfils these requirements to perfection, since the town has excellent facilities for hosting corporate events and meetings, as well as a broad selection of hotels and easy access to the airports of Barcelona and Girona.
In addition, the signing of this agreement means that the town now forms a part of Ultramar Event Management’s portfolio of priority destinations, meaning that Lloret will now be present in the company’s business communication channels, among other promotional actions.
