Uila, the promoter and organizer of Gymkhana Grid European Final 2013, one of the most important international motor sport events, held in Spain on 2 November 2013, has picked up the Silver Prize in the Best Sport Event category at the Eventoplus Awards ceremony. These annual awards are the most important of their kind in the Spanish MICE industry, acknowledging the year’s best events.

The event’s exciting car contests, created by Ken Block, clocked up 100,000 visits on the Web in 24 hours.

Thousands of people enjoyed the rivalry between the world’s top 10 drivers. Arganda del Rey’s Rock City hosted this unprecedented sports event, offering over seven hours of spectacular entertainment, including live music, exhibitions, tattoo artists, autograph signing sessions, and a BMX half-pipe, reaching its peak with the final pitting Block against the Spaniard Nani Roma, the ultimate winner of the gymkhana much to the delight of the spectators.

Uila’s experience and specialization in organizing motor sport events, together with their creative and unique design, has consolidated the firm’s position as an industry benchmark, proof of which was the extraordinary organization of Gymkhana Grid. For all the above reasons, the Eventoplus awards jury decided to award Uila the Silver Prize in the Best Sport Event category in the 9th edition of the awards, held at the Crystal Gallery of Cibeles Palace on 2 July, an event attended by a large number of MICE, communication and marketing professionals.
