Congress Rental Network (CRN), the world’s leading network of technical meeting specialists, appointed two new members for the network for the Spanish market region.

CRN’s Board, acknowledging the fact that Spain is one of the largest meeting and event destinations, appointed one new member for the market region of Madrid and one for Barcelona.

In the Spanish capital, the network’s new member is PC Rent, one of the leading companies in equipment rental and support. Jose Alberto Aleixo, director of PC Rent, says: "We know what CRN stands for as a network in the global meeting industry and this is the main reason we applied for membership. Working among and with the best companies in the field is something that we are looking for, hoping that we will be an asset to the network, as well as a substantial partner to the membership."

Looking carefully at the market region of Catalonia, with a booming market of its own, the board, being aware that the presence of a local member is mandatory, appointed Ditec SA as CRN’s member for the region of Barcelona. Jose Maria Grau, director of Ditec, comments: "To be chosen among others to represent CRN in the local market is an extreme honour for all of us! Our company has been present in the conference and meeting industry for many years providing our top quality services to numerous clients. We hope that we will be a unique addition to the existing team of CRN, while benefit from all the business opportunities that the network has to offer."

Panagiotis Podimatas, CRN chairperson and managing director of PC Podimatas SA in Greece, added to the above: "We looked very carefully into the Spanish region in order to identify those companies that could join the network. Spain is a constantly growing meeting and conference destination and, also taking into account the crisis as a factor, we wanted to choose not only the ones that met our criteria, but also companies that are healthy and can maintain their position in the market. We are sure that we have made the best possible choice for Madrid and Barcelona, in order to represent the network not only locally but globally as well."
