The 16th edition of the Tourism, Sports and Rural Development Fair (Turisport), a highly specialised event whose objective is to boost and promote this type of tourism, will be held from 18-21 October 2007 at Feira Internacional in Silleda (Pontevedra), Galicia.
Active Tourism
The fair will be divided into two areas. On the one hand, the exhibition area will host a wide range of venues and suppliers, such as hotels and accommodation, spas and watering places, cultural and active tourism, culinary and eco-tourism, golf, hunting and fishing, and freshwater activities in the interior, among many others. On the other hand, in the activity area visitors will be able to participate in a number of outdoor activities, including quad biking, paintball, rappelling and horse riding. Likewise, the business exchange, the outdoor tourism seminar and the traditional cooking competition will also be located in this area.
Other activities will include Galician wine and food tastings, performances by folk groups, the 9th Spanish Thoroughbred Competition and several dog shows and competitions.
