Once again, Es.cultura (eventos + comunicación) organized its now famous "Ruta de Carmen", this time for a prestigious pharmaceutical company. The hundred or so participants were given a highly original tour of the city of Seville based on the legendary Carmen the cigarette girl and the places she used to frequent. In short, a cultural experience full of sensations combining singing, dancing and playacting in different venues, such as the Royal Cigarette Factory and the Real Maestranza bullring.
The uniqueness of this tour lies in the fact that it is a synthesis of a traditional sightseeing tour – accompanied by one of the best guides in Seville who provides a full description of the monuments and places included in the itinerary – and other activities and entertainment.
In this way, the participants are treated to a number of performances, which symbolize scenes from the life of Carmen in the same places that they occurred 150 years ago: an opera singer performing the famous aria “La habanera” in the calle Juderia; a flamenco performance in the vicinity of the Torre del Oro, whose choreography depicts the tempestuous relationship between sergeant Don Jose and Carmen; and a short scene depicting the lovers’ first meeting, which took place in the old cigarette factory.
