The 7th edition of the Andalusian Country Tourism Fair will open tomorrow at Jaen’s Provincial Trade Fair and Congress Centre (IFEJA). Lasting four days, the show will bring together 248 exhibitors and professional buyers from Spain and abroad.
This year’s edition will have an indoor exhibition area of 6,400m2 and an outdoor area of 1,250m2, 30% more than last year. Although most of the exhibitors will be Andalusian, Castilla La Mancha, Madrid, Navarra, Murcia, Galicia, Valencia and Cantabria will also be represented at the show.
Besides accommodation, restaurants and hospitality in general, exhibitors will include outdoor activity agencies, travel agents, finance companies, applied technology suppliers, handicrafts and popular customs, associations, federations and official bodies.
One of the new features of this year’s edition of the fair is the Internet Sales Platform Event, which will bring together 133 Andalusian companies, the majority of which are dedicated to accommodation and active tourism, and 25 buyers (19 from Spain and six from abroad).
Two workshops
The 10th Andalusian Country Tourism Marketing Exchange, jointly organised by Turismo Andaluz, the Diputacion Provincial de Jaen, and Turespaña, will take place during the fair. Consisting of two workshops, the first scheduled for 4 October will be dedicated to accommodation, provincial tourist boards and promotional bodies; and the second to be held on 5 October will centre on complementary activities – active tourism, trails and routes, tours and visits, unique accommodation, incoming agencies, etc. One hundred and fifty-four Andalusian businessmen and 50 buyers (30 from Spain and the rest from the United Kingdom, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Italy and Poland) have confirmed their attendance.
