Three hundred people a day will be visiting Marbella for the world launch of the new Audi Q5, taking place from 12 October-6 December 2008; bringing the total to 10,000 visitors from 50 countries during the two-month event.
Audi, which has brought 300 Q5s to Marbella, predicts an investment of over 10 million euros during the two-month launch.
Horst Handchur, Audi’s director of international business development, has highlighted the choice of Marbella from among other European cities that have competed to host this event. The final decision to hold the event on the Costa del Sol – which is fact the first of its kind that Audi has organized abroad – is due to the resort’s choice of hotels, restaurants and shops, together with other factors such as the climate and leisure activities.
In addition to this important event, Marbella will also be hosting the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM), due to be held from 17-20 November, and the annual conference of Travel Counsellors, also scheduled for November.
