The Provincial Government of Barcelona commissioned Talisman Group to design and produce the Forest Fire Prevention Awards ceremony.
Among the bids that were presented by some of the industry’s leading companies, Talisman Group’s was considered to be the best by the Provincial Government’s territorial and environmental department. The aim of the awards is to acknowledge the good work of the volunteers belonging to the different forest defence associations (ADF), a collective that puts an enormous effort and commitment into selflessly defending nature.
Held on 26 November at the "La Collada" Civic and Sports Centre in Vilanova i la Geltru, the ceremony was attended by more than 500 guests. Adapting the staging and decoration to the awards’ corporate image, Talisman Group designed a backdrop comprising silhouettes of trees in different shades of green simulating a small wood. All the material – fabric, wood, etc. – used in staging the event was sustainable, recyclable and environmentally friendly.
Furthermore, low-power lighting was used, along with cutting-edge LEDs, while audiovisual content was screened on a 6x4m LED screen.
With Gemma Puig, TV3’s weather presenter, as the ceremony’s compere, music was performed by the group OCUME, whose six members only use their voices. A lot of careful planning went into the event so as to transmit the idea of cost-saving, contention and respect for the environment.
