Ander Bilbao, executive director of Sörensen, picked up the award during the ceremony held at the Madrid Abattoir on 4 July.
The 7th edition of the Eventoplus Awards – which have acknowledged the most outstanding initiatives in the MICE industry since 2006 – was held on the evening of 4 July. The best Spanish and Portuguese events picked up their awards at a ceremony that took place during an event held at the Madrid Abattoir. Among other award winners, Sörensen received the Gold Prize in the "Best Convention" Category for "Lideres 375", organized for Altadis in November 2011.
With the slogan "No. 1 Leaders during 375 Years", the three-day convention was attended by the company’s executives, sales staff and employees to commemorate its 375 years of history, based on the five values that have helped Altadis become the leader in its market (speed, self-imposed standards of excellence, risk assumption, commitment and team spirit).
Sörensen designed a convention that allowed all of Altadis’ staff to live unique experiences and interiorize the company’s values. The attendees were treated to an exclusive three-day stay at the Asia Garden Hotel in Alicante, where they participated in different leisure activities in which they all had the chance to show how proud they were of belonging to such a great company as Altadis.
After stepping up on stage, accompanied by part of his team, Ander Bilbao thanked each one of Sörensen’s departments "for their involvement, commitment and know-how, thanks to which Altadis’ event was a resounding success and a benchmark for client-supplier relationships."
