Last July, the Consortium of the Barcelona Shipyard and the Maritime Museum of Barcelona awarded the tender of this permanent exhibition. The temporary business association between Sono, Expomon and Wasabi won the tender.
Sono will handle the exhibition’s A/V system integration, which will have different video and interactive productions geared to explaining the history of the royal shipyard and the galleys built there.
The ultimate aim of the project is to enhance the museum’s attractiveness by offering visitors a memorable experience by means of interactive content, immersive audiovisual materials, and virtual image dioramas.
As regards the audiovisual integration project special mention should go to the implementation of a centralized control system that will allow for the synchronization of all the elements and complete control of the museum by means of a sole touch screen.
Sono specializes in applying audiovisual technology to all types of facilities. As to permanent facilities, Sono has a long track record in audiovisual consultancy services and executive projects for major museums and other cultural facilities such as the Museum of Human Evolution and the Born Centre Cultural.
