Sixt, the most important car rental firm in Germany and one of the world’s top players, will be incorporating a number of Aston Martins into its Spanish fleet, including the following models: the DB9, Vantage Coupé, and Vantage Roadster.
These luxury sports cars will be available at Sixt’s offices with the greatest number of high-end clients: Palma, Marbella, Barcelona, and Madrid. Nevertheless, as with Sixt’s Porches, they can be delivered anywhere in Spain.
Aston Martin is an English make of exclusive sports cars. The models that Sixt will be incorporating into its fleet are equipped with 400HP+ engines and have a price tag starting from €130,000. Specifically, the DB9, like the one Sixt will have in Spain, costs €211,000.
Furthermore, Sixt’s Spanish fleet features makes such as BMW, Mini, Audi, Mercedes, and Porche. In fact, 55% of its fleet is keyed to the market’s premium segments. The greatest part of the company’s fleet (31.5%) is made up of BMWs/Minis, followed by Mercedes (14%) and Audi (10%). Nevertheless, with the merger of Volkswagen with Audi, this manufacturing group makes up the second largest proportion of the fleet.
For Sixt, not only the make of car is important but also its equipment. All the company’s vehicles are purchased with an eye to offering a high level of elegance and comfort, as well as the latest in active and passive safety technology.
Sixt’s Spanish fleet also features other makes more keyed to the holiday market. Ford vehicles are the most numerous, followed by Peugeot-Citroën, General Motors, and Renault.
Estanislao de Mata, CEO of Sixt in Spain: "We’ve decided to include a number of Aston Martins in our Spanish fleet so as to meet the demands of our most exclusive clients. Unlike the majority of our competitors, at Sixt we buy these vehicles directly and then incorporate them into our car hire fleet, so as not to have to depend on intermediaries."
Sixt’s Fleet will feature several Aston Martins in 2013
