The Sevilla Convention Bureau (SCCB) has just won a key bid central to the promotion and image of Seville and its province as an international meeting and event destination.

The European Best Event Awards will be held at Seville’s Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento Hotel from 22-25 October, an event that will be attended by the representatives of 400 of the world’s top agencies, together with their best end clients for whom they create and develop all kinds of events and campaigns.

An international jury comprising 60 renowned professionals, belonging to international trade associations, marketing, communication and event agencies, universities, media companies specializing in the meeting and event industry, and multinationals, will shortlist the best events, in 28 categories, which will then compete in the final to be held in Seville.

This coming edition of the event will feature an interesting innovation: the agencies, along with their clients, will be able to present and defend live their nomination, thus constituting an excellent opportunity for local and international meeting and event professionals to learn about the best events and current communication trends and ideas through case studies.

This international edition, which will be the first to be held outside Milan, the city that usually hosts the event, is being organized by SCCB in collaboration with over 100 of its members, with the support of a number of tourism organizations.

This meeting and event industry "Oscars" ceremony is a unique and invaluable opportunity for a destination competing in the international market to drum up business.

For three days, Seville will become Europe’s meeting and event hub, drawing the attention of the international meeting and event industry and specialized press, whose real cost would be impossible to cover without the inestimable and generous contribution of the companies forming a part of SCCB and the institutions that support it: Seville Chamber of Commerce, Seville City Council, Seville Provincial Government, Turismo Andaluz and Turespaña.
