At the last edition of Meeting & Incentive FORUM Summer Destination 2016, which has just been held in Madrid, the bid submitted by the Seville Congress and Convention Bureau (SCCB) to host the next edition, which will be held from 27 June-1 July 2017, was officially accepted.
This prestigious international event will be attended by over 500 buyers from all over the world, mostly from Europe, in addition to more than 250 international service providers.
Meetings will be held at FIBES, while the attendees will be accommodated at different hotels in the city, including the Melia Sevilla. Furthermore, many of the SCCB’s associates based in Seville and the province, as well as the main institutions forming part of the bureau, will lend their assistance.
What is involved is an event of events where each attending company has a prescheduled meeting agenda with meeting and event organizations and MICE service providers, such as hotels, convention centres, agencies, PCOs, audiovisual firms, transport companies, catering firms, event staff agencies, unique venues, etc. The nearly 800 professionals taking part in the event not only make the most of the prescheduled face-to-face meetings, but also a social programme allowing them to discover and enjoy the destination and network with their peers.
The SCCB, which forms part of the global meeting and event industry, makes the most of events of this type to promote the destination and drum up business for the area and its members, endeavouring to highlight the high level of organization and efficiency, as well as the most attractive venues for holding all kinds of events in Seville and its province.
Thus, Seville has managed to win the bid to host one of the meeting and event industry’s top international events, which underscores the good work of the SCCB, which is supported by Prodetur, the city’s tourism office, and the Seville Chamber of Commerce.
