The 4th Seminar on Responsible Tourism "Change of destination" will be held on 19 January at IFEMA’s Centro de Convenciones Norte (Madrid).
This edition of the seminar will address responsible tourism from two very necessary perspectives. Dr Margaret Hart Robertson will analyze the prospects and challenges of sustainable and community tourism in Latin America, while Javier Sanchez Garcia of Turinea, a portal dedicated to organizing and promoting themed tourist itineraries in Spain, will provide an overview of responsible tourism accessible to all that makes the most of local resources.
Moderated by Jose Maria de Juan, vice-president of EARTH, the seminar’s presentations will be short so as to allow for plenty of time for debate. After the presentations there will be an open networking session with a long coffee break – both for professionals and the general public – organized in collaboration with ECOTUMISMO.
Sponsored by the Spanish Centre of Responsible Tourism, the seminar is a necessary initiative in Spain, since it provides professionals and stakeholders in responsible tourism with a forum of debate.
