Over the next few months, Santander will step up its promotion as a MICE destination by participating in different forums and events geared to the national and international market.
As of the 3 September, the city will be represented by the Santander Convention Bureau (SCB) at different MICE industry meetings and trade shows, with specific promotional activities aimed at the Spanish, English, German, Belgium, Dutch and Scandinavian markets.
In the framework of the 2017 Promotion and Marketing Plan of the SCB, the first stop will be the Iberian MICE Forum, scheduled to be held in Cartagena from 3-7 September. This forum will include workshops and leisure activities, a specific seminar for congress and event organizers from the UK and Scandinavia, and meetings with directors and representatives of event agencies from these countries.
Santander will also be present at the seminar dedicated to the German market, organized by Spain Convention Bureau in Madrid from 16-18 September.
And in November, the city will participate in a seminar dedicated to the Dutch market, including team-building activities with Dutch agencies, and another seminar to be held in Alicante covering the Belgium market.
As in previous years, Santander will be represented at ibtm world (Barcelona), one of the industry’s benchmark events due to be held from 28-30 November.
At all these events, the convention bureau will distribute technical and tourist information about Santander, including its venues, hotels, restaurants and suppliers.
