Aires Africanos, the dromedary farm in the Doñana Dune Park, is growing with the birth of Sabina.
Sabina is the descendent of Gitana, a new generation of dromedaries born in this emblematic natural park in the municipality of Matalascañas.
As has become the custom, each new dromedary is given a name relating to the area. And Sabina has been named after a two-metre high bush which, together with the stone pine, proliferates in the coastal dunes of Doñana.
After a gestation period of 13 months, the new born dromedary with remain with its mother until it reaches adulthood. Dromedaries have a 40-year life span.
