The low-cost airline will also begin to fly to Essaouira and Rabat in April, bringing the total of Moroccan airports served by Ryanair to eight.
Last week, the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair announced plans to open two new bases in the Moroccan cities of Fez and Marrakech, representing an investment in the region of €155 million.
The airline will base one aircraft in Fez, from where it will fly to 15 destinations, including the French cities of Lille, Nantes, Nimes, and St. Etienne. While the airline’s two aircraft based in Marrakech will fly to 22 cities, including Baden and Munich (Germany), Bergerac, Dole, Tours, and Paris (Vatry) in France, and the Italian city of Cuneo.
Ryanair has also announced that, as from April, it will be flying to Essaouira and Rabat from European cities such as Brussels, Paris, and Marseille.
With the introduction these new routes, the airline expects to transport around 2.5 million passengers in 2013.
