The Wine Museum, located in Ronda’s historic centre, will be hosting the Grape Harvest Festival on 6 September. In the last few years, this local tradition has been revived with the aim of making it one of the town’s most emblematic festivals.

Denomination of Origin “Serrania de Ronda”

The growth experienced by the Serrania de Ronda wines has undoubtedly contributed to boosting the area’s tourist industry and economy. In the last few years, there has been a number of important initiatives, such as the Denomination of Origin Serrania de Ronda Wine Festival, held during the May Fair, which has become a must for wine enthusiasts, council policies aimed at promoting wine-related activities, the creation and enlargement of important wine cellars in Ronda and the surrounding area, and the opening of the Wine Museum in the centre of town.

About the Wine Museum

A number of interesting tourist and cultural products - all related to wine and wine culture to a greater or lesser extent - have been launched in the municipality, of which the Wine Museum is an excellent example. Housed in an XVI century mansion and wine cellar, apart from the museum there are venues for all types of events and receptions, of which the cloistered central patio is well worth a special mention. Activities include, wine tasting courses, and wine tasting and oenological weekends for individuals and groups.

Festival programme

Ronda’s Grape Harvest Festival, including traditional grape treading and wine tasting, will be held on 6 September at 12am.
