ROI Week 2011 is the third annual event of the series organised by Event ROI Institute at Down Hall, near London, during the first week of September. It is not only about measuring event effectiveness but also about how to design events that deliver high ROI.
New this year is a three-day course on social media and hybrid events with Ruud Janssen. This course will give hands-on training to those seeking to acquire one of the hottest skills: to master social media marketing and create a digital event strategy.
Social media and hybrid events are here to stay, and Event ROI Institute is very happy to welcome one of the world's leading experts as the course facilitator. Ruud Janssen is the managing owner of ©TNOC, an unconventional marketing collective, as well as founder and curator of TEDxBasel, TEDxYouth@Basel and TEDxBaselLive. Ruud also organised the first European POD of Event Camp Twin Cities, a hybrid event connecting event professionals across the world in real time. He is a member of the international board of directors of Meeting Professionals International and speaks and consults on social media and hybrid event geared to major corporations and associations. He is also a university lecturer on various topics related to events, marketing and communication.
The third day of the course is a live hybrid event where participants will experience all the aspects of attending this type of event, as well as receiving a backstage insight into the technology and planning procedures employed by the organisers.
Other programmes include five- and two-day ROI certification courses with Dr. Jack Phillips and Dr. Elling Hamso, a one-day survey design with Dr. Patti Phillips, a two-day Brilliant Presentations with Dianne Lowther and a two-day Meeting Architecture course with Maarten Vanneste. Please see www.roiweek.org for the complete programme.
ROI Week will take place 5-9 September at its permanent home, Down Hall Country House Hotel at Hatfield Hath, just outside London (www.downhall.com).
These training courses are aimed at anyone engaged in the planning and evaluation of meetings and events in corporations, associations and public bodies, as well as meeting management professionals in companies providing products and services to meeting owners.
