The latest Meetings Outlook report shows that the past year has seen a 16% drop in respondents that project positive growth for upcoming live event attendance (down from 66%). Yet, live and virtual attendance figures are still expected to grow 1.5% and 2.5%, respectively. Other interesting results include:
- 30% of respondents are avoiding destinations that have laws prohibiting universal restroom use; 19% are avoiding locations with liberal handgun or weapons laws.
- 63% of respondents predict favorable business conditions for the year ahead.
- 27% of respondents said political elections have a significant influence on meetings and events.
- 54% of respondents predict favorable budget spend.
