With 206 certified travel and tourism companies, Andalusia is ranked third behind Catalonia and Madrid with regard to the introduction of the “Q” for Quality Tourism Stamp.
Institute of Quality Tourism
In Andalusia, 206 tourist establishments – representing more than 10% of the national total – have been awarded the stamp to date by the Institute of Quality Tourism (ICTE). Only Catalonia and Madrid, with 299 and 255, respectively, have a greater number of certified establishments, or which there are 2,053 in the whole of Spain.
Travel agencies
In the case of Andalusia, 55% of the awards have gone to travel agents, with 114 certified offices, and 27% to hotels and tourist accommodation, which have 56 stamps in all. The list is completed by 11 country houses, 19 beaches, two restaurants, a congress centre, an information office, a congress office and the Sierra Nevada ski resort.
