Gourmet cuisine will be one of the highlights of the 2nd of Marbella Luxury Weekend, scheduled to be held in Puerto Banus from 31 May-3 June.
A long weekend to enjoy the most delicious culinary specialties from different parts of the world: Italy, Japan, France... Visitors will be able to savour these delicacies at the restaurants and boutiques participating in this unique event on the Costa del Sol.
During the event, Black & White, one of Puerto Banus’ new eateries, will be putting on a number of special activities. Inspired by the glamour of film world and the excitement of Formula 1, the restaurant will host a fashion show for those wishing to dine in an original and sophisticated way. In addition, part of the famous "Gomez Collection," consisting of Porsche 911 GT2 hoods painted by a number of well-known artists, will be on exhibition at the restaurant.
Japanese food enthusiasts will be able to savour a range of delicacies prepared by the restaurant Pravda during a number body sushi nights; a fun way of dining that has gained popularity thanks to films and TV. Dennis Wellerfor, Pravda’s in-house chef, will be responsible for preparing this unique culinary experience that can be enjoyed on Saturday, 2 June, from 7-9pm in the restaurant’s VIP area. Afterwards, the eatery will be hosting Luxury Night Pravda and Ascari, combining the haute couture of designer Florence Nahmad (ex-designer at Valentino) with Ascari’s luxury cars.
Italian food will be the star at La Pappardella, featuring the "Flying Pizza Acrobatic Show". Slated for Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Antonio Martos, Malaga’s top pizza man and an international, European and Italian champion in pizza acrobatics, will be performing the show, together with Chacon – better known as Juanito, La Pappardella’s chef – and his 12 year old son.
Continuing with oriental food, the jewelers Gomez & Molina will be offering their guests exquisite Japanese tidbits, prepared by the Ta-Kumi restaurant, as well as other gourmet delicacies, including delicious cava and strawberry cupcakes made by the Marbella confectioners Divinas Tartas.
