Provincial government promotes Cadiz as tennis destination in Austria and Switzerland

The Tourism Office of the Provincial Government of Cadiz has just represented the province at the Leuchtenstadt Open (Lucerne, Switzerland), an amateur tournament attracting professionals, federation presidents, and tennis club managers held from 31 August-3 September.

The aim of the provincial government has been to showcase the province’s tourism and sports offerings to encourage tennis players to organize their pre-season training camps in Cadiz.

The province of Cadiz has 11 clay courts, 15 hard courts, 10 artificial grass courts, and one grass court.

The demand of Swiss and German professionals and amateurs is currently fairly high. They look for destinations in which to carry out training camps in the off-season period. Generally speaking, groups have between 10-40 members who use four- and five-star hotels.

Their preferences as regards sports facilities include Mallorca, Turkey and Croatia, but due to the instability in some of these countries, they are now looking for alternative destinations.
