The company Producciones Callejeras has just presented the 2011 edition of "En Clave de Sol", a sustainable and original initiative that was great success last year with a number of city and town councils in Northern Spain.
This pioneering initiative in Spain involves holding concerts using a mobile stage that is powered by photovoltaic solar energy and energy generated by two bicycles connected to roller generators. The stage's 1,400W sound system and LED lighting is ideal for small concerts – from 100-300 people – in which the participants volunteer to peddle the bicycle generators.
Producciones Callejeras' mobile stage comprises the following: three 160Wp solar panels on the roof of the van, which covered with a placard serves as a backdrop, an electrical system installed in the interior of the van, a semicircle of artificial grass as a stage, two roller generators connected to two bicycles, sound and lighting equipment, and a information display.
