PhoCusWright, the travel industry research authority on how travellers, suppliers and intermediaries connect, will offer a special session included in FITURTECH – Spain’s main travel and technology debate forum held in parallel to the most important Spanish and Latin American travel industry show, FITUR - International Tourism Fair in Spain.
The keynote "Innovation: Shaking Up the Travel Marketplace," scheduled to take place on Thursday, 31 January 2013 at Stand 10B3, will address the vertiginous pace of technological change transforming the way consumers around the globe search, shop, book and share travel. Participating in FITUR for the first time, PhoCusWright’s expertise in the travel industry will help visitors to explore the most important innovations, opportunities and challenges impacting the European online travel marketplace.
Florence Kaci, PhoCusWright’s EMEA Director and European Market Specialist, will address how mobile adoption is soaring and empowering travellers – who are more and more hyper-connected and engaged in entirely new ways – as well as how the ever-accelerating pace of innovation is disrupting business as usual, compelling travel companies to consider major strategic shifts, and the resulting new challenges. Finally, this session will provide an overview of the European online landscape and a virtual weathervane for gauging what lies ahead, as Kaci shares the hot topics and key trends that will shape the online travel landscape in 2013 and beyond.
