In collaboration with Party Land Portugal and Party Land Germany, Party Land Spain has participated for the first time in the BACI balloon sculpture competition held in Florence, winning the New Artist of the Year Award.
Laura Lozano (team captain), Harol Leon, Gonzalo Gomez and Natasha President of Party Land Spain, Carol Teixeira, Sonia Carvalho and Luis Ribeiro of Party Land Portugal, and Alejandro Dueñas of Party Land Germany participated in the construction of the sculpture "Playmobil Island" – inspired by the toy of the same name – which was made up of 4,500 balloons. The sculpture recreated a giant rock with the entrance to a secret cave, crowned by a large skull with bright red eyes, and guarded by a pirate (a very detailed copy of the brand’s pirate figure).
BACI is an annual event attracting a large number of international balloon artists from countries such as Japan, Taiwan, Ireland, England, Belgium, Russia, Italy and Spain.
This prize is a reward for Party Land’s commitment to improving and innovating in the field of balloon decoration on a daily basis.
