Pacific World, a leader in the management of MICE projects in Europe and Asia, has recently participated in a creative roadshow around Germany, organized by the company’s sales representative TMC (Tourism Marketing Communication).
The "Spice up your Business" roadshow took place in Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne and Hamburg during September. Over the course of the project, 100 event agencies prepared a range of dishes from a variety of destinations, which the attendees were invited to sample.
"Gastronomy tells us a lot about a region. It helps us to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of a country and its culture. It is a great and effective way to connect with a destination," commented Patricia Silvio, regional marketing manager for EMEA of Pacific World.
"Asia is a gastronomic goldmine with so many fragrant combinations of fiery spices and herbs. Mediterranean cuisine is also constantly evolving, mixing ancient flavours and recipes with new cooking methods. Gastronomy blends elements already present in our work as a destination management company and conference organizer, as it encourages creativity and the mastering of a technique, as well as passion," Silvio concludes.
"The feedback has been fantastic – explaining the flavours of each dish alongside the professional know-how of the destinations has proved very successful," said Anja Dickmann of TMC, sales representative of Pacific World in Germany.
