A new camel was born in the Doñana dune park (Matalascañas) last week on Thursday at 7.55pm. The new camel is called ‘Gorrión’ and his parents are Jara and Halcón.
Jara, the camel’s mother, belongs to the first generation of camels at the farm ‘Aires Africanos’, located on the coast of Huelva.
Gorrión’s White head and legs attracted the attention of a group of students visiting the facilities last Thursday. As the owners of the ecotourism company, Nuria Encinas and Miguel Maestre, have announced that two more camels will soon be born after 12 months of gestation and will be named after the flora or fauna of Doñana Natural Park.
