Held in Barcelona from 15-17 November, the SEFAC Congress registered record figures, not only in the number of attendees but also because of the more that 50 sponsors without whom the event would not have been possible. Held at the World Trade Centre, the three-day event – under the slogan "Solutions for a necessary, effective and safe pharmacy" – included an extensive programme with different sessions and roundtable discussions about the future of the profession and other burning issues. Moreover, 180 abstracts were presented, as well as the results of several research projects. The official welcome reception took place on the first day, Thursday, in Barcelona’s Picasso Museum, while the closing gala dinner was held on Friday in the majestic Comillas Room of the Reales Atarazanas (Royal Shipyards).
