Fifty-six tour operators participated en the forth edition of the Cadiz Golf Cup, which was held on 6 May at the Fair Play Golf and Spa in Benalup-Casas Viejas.
Largest number of participants ever
This year’s edition of the tournament, organised by the Cadiz Tourist Board, was a record-breaker in all aspects, including the number of participants (56), countries of origin (22) and golf course collaboration (13).
The Chinese market
Several Chinese tour operators participated for the first time in the history of the tournament, whose aim is to promote the province of Cadiz as a golfing destination. According to the organisers, this is extremely good news since Chine is a booming market with a large number of high-spending amateur golfers. They also confirmed that, after familiarising themselves with the province, the Chinese signed several collaboration agreements and will be sending their clients shortly to visit the province and play golf.
Likewise, the American, Canadian and European tour operators all agreed in praising the quality of the province’s golf courses, the area’s wonderful climate and its excellent communications.
