More than 300 guests attended the Agenda Autismo gala dinner held at the Antequera Golf Hotel on 13 June 2008. The aim of this event was to raise funds for the publishing costs of this magazine dedicated to autism, which will be distributed in Spain and Latin America.

The President of the World Federation of Autism Isabel Bayona, the President of the Malaga-based foundation Autismo Sur Manuel Llanos, Ricardo Millan, mayor of Antequera, Ramon Jimenez, non-executive director of Antequera Golf, and the magazine’s promoter Francisco Pabon attended the event, along with a large showing of counsellors from Antequera and other towns in the area and businessmen from the town of El Torcal.

During the event, there was a screening of a video on the life of Bayona’s son, who suffers from autism and whose condition has improved over the years. Dr Martinez Palma and Mr Pabon presented the new magazine that will help thousands of Spain and Latin-American parents with autistic children to handle this disorder. Before the orchestra performed for the rest of the evening, a number of pictures were auctioned, some of which were very valuable like the one donated by Antonio Segovia, which fetched 7,000 euros.

Antequera Golf showed its support for the event by donating half of the proceeds from entrance tickets and drinks.
