Exhibitors and co-exhibitors at the 5th edition of the International Cultural Tourism Fair (FITC), scheduled to be held from 18-21 September 2008 at Malaga's Tradeshow and Congress Centre, will be showcasing over 160 destinations. The show's parallel programme will include training and marketing workshops, keynotes and roundtables keyed to trade professionals, as well as leisure activities for the general public. The show's full programme consolidates its position as one of the leading events for promoting and marketing cultural destinations in Spain and abroad.
With the theme "Culture, your next destination" the FITC attracts all kinds of companies dedicated to promoting specific cultural tourism products, such as monuments, cultural tours and itineraries, museums, and language and cultural packages, among others. Destinations exhibiting for the first time at the show include "Spanish Cultural Tourism Routes" such as Castilla La Mancha (the Quijote and Castles routes, among others), Orihuela (Centenary of Miguel Hernandez), and the Montilla-Moriles wine route (Cordova). In addition, regions such as the Algarve and the Pyrenees of Huesca will also be represented at the show, along with the cultural tourism attractions of cities like Ceuta, Gijon and Ciudad Rodrigo.
Although the FITC is a show especially geared to trade professionals, it will open to the public on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 September from 4-7pm, and on Saturday 20 and Domingo 21 from 11am-8pm.
