By the end of June, Malaga's Tradeshow and Congress Centre (FYCMA) will have hosted a number congresses and corporate events, totalling more than 15,000 delegates attending a number congresses and corporate events, and generating revenues in the region of four million Euros for the city.
The centre’s event agenda features five medical-health industry congresses, with the attendance of 7,000 European specialists in different medical fields, addressing matters concerning the treatment and diagnosis of diseases, as well as new applications in the field of prevention.
The 2nd Diabesity Congress, the first of these events, was held from 7-8 May. Some 600 delegates from Spain and Europe analyzed the current situation of diabetes and obesity, as well as new treatment trends and tools.
Likewise, FYCMA hosted the 38th National Dermatology and Venereology Congress which, sponsored by the Spanish Academy, covers both specialities. The congress was attended by 2,000 delegates.
Afterwards, the 11th National Congress of the Spanish Association for the Study of Menopause was held at the centre from 1-4 June, with the attendance of approximately 1,000 specialists. This will be followed on 11th June by the General Assembly of FENITEL (Federation of Telecommunications Installers), which will bring together over 500 trade professionals.
The 45th National Congress of SEMICYUC (Spanish Society for Intensive and Critical Medicine and Coronary Units) will also be held in June, coinciding with the 36th National Congress of SEEIUC (Spanish Society for Intensive Nursing and Coronary Units), with an estimated attendance of 2,000 delegates at each event; in addition to the CECOFAR Assembly, with 1,200 delegates.
Besides these medical-health industry congresses, FYCMA’s event agenda for May and June also includes a large number of functions, seminars and events organized by different companies and associations.
In short, FYCMA’s May and June event agenda highlights the great effort the centre is making to position the city among the most important national and international meeting and event destinations.
