With the aim of satisfying this growing demand, the Observatori Esteve Duran Private Foundation was established in the framework of the observatory.
The Esteve Duran Observatory is one of the few centres of its kind in the world that simultaneously satisfies two of modern society’s needs: on the one hand, scientific research, and on the other the dissemination and teaching of astronomy. To this end, the observatory is equipped with the largest and most technically advanced telescope in Catalonia.
