Thanks to the new "Meeting Packages" section, users can now budget for their event by following several easy steps, with a fixed price per person.
Through its specialized Meeting & Event Department, Melia Hotels International continues to develop innovative tools that facilitate event and meeting management at the chain’s properties around the world. Along these lines, the last initiative to be implemented has been the incorporation in www.melia.com/meetings of a booking system allowing clients to purchase meeting packages, one of the hotel company’s star products geared to facilitating the management of small meetings by offering basic services at a fixed price per person.
In the "Meeting Package" section (or directly at www.meliameetingpackages.com), users can choose a destination, indicate the number of attendees and then immediately consult hotel availability, as well as rates per person. After selecting a hotel and filling in the petition, the property in question will confirm availability and deliver a quote for any additional service required by the client, such as accommodation, A/V equipment and services, or F&B not included in the meeting package.
This product facilitates event organization at over 120 of the company’s hotels in Europe, Asia, America, Africa and the Middle East, and includes all basic services such as the meeting room, lunch, two coffee breaks, screen, flipchart and stationary; all at a fixed price, starting at only €45 per person. Clients can also request additional services depending on their needs, obtaining a tailored quote allowing them to adjust and control meeting spend.
In addition to this new section, www.melia.com/meetings includes a tool for searching current group promotions ("Opportunity Dates"), a section covering weddings and honeymoons, with information on the chain’s specialized programmes, and direct access to its Meetings & Events online hotel directory and loyalty programme geared to travel agents and event planners.
