Always ahead of time, Europe Congress is all set for the fourth edition of its annual event MeetingPlanners Russia, taking place for 5-6 September in Moscow, as per tradition.
MeetingPlanners Russia will continue and even surpass the success of MCE Central and Eastern Europe Berlin, the first Europe Congress workshop of 2016 that opened the year, leaving all the participants highly satisfied and ready to make the best out of their newly acquired business contacts.
MeetingPlanners Russia has been created to be entirely focused on the growing Russian outbound market and on various destinations keen to attract this business, creating synergies between Russian and CIS meeting planners and global providers travelling to Moscow in order to meet and do business with them, establishing long-lasting relations and a solid, profitable network of contacts.
The format of the event itself is entirely built to exceed the participants’ expectations and to maximise the workshop’s potential: a mix of pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings and coffee breaks, luncheons and cocktail parties ensures the right balance between formal business time and relaxed networking opportunities.
For its part, the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Hotel is ready to host the event with its more than 17000 square feet of event facilities, in addition to other amenities and services.
The list of participants in the workshop is also increasing and becoming more varied every day, as regards both meeting planners and suppliers: first-time Russian hosted buyers include JSC Eventum Conference and Seminars, Global Air from Kazakhstan, Uniglobe Alliance Avia, PAC Group, Takeda, and Imperial Tobacco, as well as companies from the oil industry such as Gazprom StroyTEK and National Oilwell Varco, and pharmaceuticals such as Takeda.
Destinations are also active, with a growing interest in hosting Russian MICE events: hotels, DMCs and convention bureaux are glad to welcome the increasing demand of Russian and CIS event agencies and corporate planners.
A broad variety of service providers will be showcasing their services and USPs, bringing a bit of their own country to Moscow: Austria, Spain, Korea, Israel, France, Cyprus, Cuba, Singapore, the Dominican Republic, Hungary, Thailand, Armenia and Latvia are just some of the destinations that will be present this year at the MeetingPlanners Russia event.
Some of the Convention Bureaux, such as the Vienna Convention Bureau, Jerusalem Convention Bureau, and Korea Convention Bureau are returning participants that have realized, since the very first edition, that MeetingPlanners Russia is a tailor-made workshop that meets the requirement of everyone involved.
Europe Congress is also more than glad to welcome new participants, such as the Catalunya Convention Bureau, Pullman Riga Old Town, Opera Suite Hotel Yerevan and Shangri-La Hotels, the latter participating for the first time alongside Singapore Convention Bureau and Tour East Singapore DMC which are returning for the fourth time.
According to the International Meetings Statistics Report by the Union of International Associations, the number of meetings for 2016 will, on average, increase by 11% over the next year, and by almost 35% over the next five, making the event industry one of the most active and dynamic to be involved in.
