On 2 September, Pilar Sanchez, mayoress of Jerez, signed a collaboration agreement with the new president of the Jerez Convention Bureau, Salvador Sibajas, geared to developing the Business Tourism Marketing Plan within the framework of the city’s Tourism Plan.

With a total investment of €61,601.50, the aim of the agreement is to promote and market the city’s tourist industry through the joint management and institutional presence of the brand Destino Jerez in all promotional activities geared to the MICE and travel markets.

An independent professional association of MICE and tourism companies created in 1992, the Jerez Convention Bureau – which has been marketing and promoting the destination in the quality tourism segment – begins a new chapter in which, in addition to carrying out the actions provided for in the municipal Marketing Plan, it will continue to centre its efforts on organizing fam trips for meeting and event planners, such as those that will take place in October with a number of Madrid-based and German companies, in collaboration with Iberia and Air Berlin, respectively.

During this year, the Jerez Convention Bureau will also be showcasing the destination in Madrid, at EIBTM, and in regional feeder markets like Seville and the Costa del Sol.
