Mas de Sant Lleí was one of the venues chosen by a millionaire Pakistani family for a three-day wedding in Barcelona

Last weekend, the family organized a luxury three-day wedding in Barcelona. The groom’s father, one of the richest men in Pakistan, is the owner of a powerful holding with over 33,000 employees.

According to traditional Pakistani weddings, the rites of marriage have three parts: the NIkkah, the Mehndi, and the Rukhsati. Mas de Sant Lleí was the venue chosen to celebrate the second rite, the Mehndi, a celebration traditionally reserved for women and which consists in painting the bride’s hands and feet with henna, a ritual marking the initiation of her new life as a married woman.

Last Friday, at about 6.30pm, more than 320 guests of the family, travelling from the UK and Pakistan, arrived at the venue to celebrate the second rite of the wedding between H. and A. The Mas de Sant Lleí was decorated with brightly coloured materials and flowers, including orange, fuchsia and turquoise, combined with gold and countless LED lights that lit up the whole masia and its gardens.

The guests, many of whom were dressed in traditional costumes, were treated to a cocktail party on the Sant Estava terrace, after which they were served a Pakistani buffet indoors. Following the Mehndi ritual, there was a party with live music.

Yes I Do, captained by Sonia Servent, was the company chosen to plan the luxury wedding, and the interior designer Alfons Tost handled the decoration and the complete transformation of Mas de Sant Lleí.
