Marbella Football Centre Hosts Pre-Olympic Match

The Olympic squads of Mexico and Great Britain played a friendly match in Marbella, as a warm up for the London Games.



The Olympic teams of Mexico and Great Britain played a dynamic game at the Marbella Football Centre. The match also marked the first ever presentation of the British team, Team GB, composed of players from around the United Kingdom. Team GB’s Captain, Ryan Giggs (Manchester United), had nothing but praise for the centre’s pitches and facilities.



The teams that have used the centre during the 2012 winter season include the following: HSC Montepellier, Club Brugge, Hamburger SV, Feyenoord Rotterdam, Moroccan National Team, Videoton FC, FC Basel, CSKA Moscow, Grasshoppers Club Zurich, Dynamo Kiev, Fortuna Dusseldorf, Young Boys Bern, Crakovia Krakow, Dinamo Tblisi , Guangzhou Evergrande, FC Zestafoni, Lech Poznan, FC Rubin Kazan, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, Spartak Moscow, FC Alania, FC Timisoara, FC Sion, National Team Russia U21, National Team Sweden U21, National Team Venezuela, and Djurgardens IF.
