KMON – Image in Movement, pioneering production company in outdoor film screenings (such as those held on the beach at Torremolinos, Mijas and Torrox), was chosen to organise the first drive-in theatre screening in Malaga.
Fair ground
Sponsored by Malaga City Council’s youth department, within the scope of its leisure activity programme “alterna en la noche”, the film “The Departed” was screened last night in the fair ground, next to the Congress and Exhibition Centre, on a piece of ground specially prepared for the occasion.
The film was projected on an inflatable screen was used and filmgoers were able to use their car radios to tune in to the soundtrack, on a frequency band provided by the organisers, so as to guarantee the best quality sound.
This is the first time a screening like this has been organised in Malaga, an initiative the organisers hope to repeat in the near future.
